Pause and Prepare

Take a quick moment, before you enter into a new moment in your day (for example, you are about to enter a meeting, about to make a phone call, about to come into the house after work, etc.) to pause and prepare. Think about how you want things to go, and then take three slow, deep breaths.

Why? Preparing helps us to enter into a new moment or space with more calm, which can influence how we respond to others and create positive impact over time.

So, don’t put pressure on yourself - but rather than running from one thing to the next, try taking a quick moment to pause first. Listen to the audio for an example.
